Cinéma Vérité announces Portrait lineup

The 13th edition of the Cinéma Vérité, Iran’s major international documentary film festival, has announced Portrait lineup.

The Portrait section will screen ‘Andrey Tarkovsky, A Cinema Prayer’ by Andrei Andreyevich Tarkovsky from Italy, Russia and Sweden, ‘Fellini Fine Mai’ by Eugenio Cappuccio from Italy, ‘What We Left Unfinished’ by Mariam Ghani from Afghanistan, Qatar and the US, as well as ‘Flavioh- Tribute to Flavio Bucci’ by Riccardo Zinna from Italy.

The lineup goes on with ‘Forman vs. Forman’ by Helena Třeštíková and Jakub Hejna from the Czech Republic and France, ‘Talking about the Trees’ by Suhaib Gasmelbari Mustafa from France, Sudan, Germany, Chad and Qatar, ‘The Ghost of Peter Sellers’ by Peter Medak from Cyprus, as well as ‘Unstoppable: Sean Scully and the Art of Everything’ by Nick Willing from the UK.

Organized by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center, the first edition of the Cinéma Vérité was held in 2007.

Over the past decade it has emerged as one of the important events on Iran's documentary film calendar.

The 13th edition of the Cinéma Vérité will be held on December 9-16, 2019.
